    Translation:
On the first of September, for observing the requirements of this sacramental marriage, despite the first degree of affinity impediment shall be administered to William Ternes, surviving widower of the deceased Anna Lehnarz,of Krinkhof, and Maria Anna, legitimate daughter of Johannis Lehnarz and Anna Maria Huberti, who were married at Demerath. As offered by schoolmasters(?) Otto and Caspar Benz, both of Hontheim.

    Comments:
I think the first degree of affinity is between siblings or between a child and its parents. Otto and Caspar are probably affirming that William's wives were sisters but one is deceased. It is possible this is not the actual marriage record. Dispensations were sometimes granted and recorded separately from the marriage itself. I noticed that William Ternes and Maria Anna Lehnarz had a daughter, Gertrudis, baptized on 23 Dec 1844. Children were normally baptized within a few days of birth (sometimes on the same day). It seems unlikely that the mother was actually Anna Lehnarz since there is only a few days over 9 months for Anna to have died, William to have married, and have a child by his new wife. It is possible someone noticed a possible impediment to the marriage, so they got the dispensation after the fact.

Since William's children were baptized at Hontheim, I would expect that Krinkhof is a smaller village nearby. (A few miles south of Hontheim.)
