1899: Mary A. Bailey Obituary, Arkansas Methodist Newspaper, 26-Jul-1899 Baily: Died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. M. A. Price, two miles north of Warren, Ark., Mrs. Mary A. Baily, May 31, 1899, age 76 years. It was 6 o'clock in the evening and as the sun was sinking low in the quiet sky, she calmly and peacefully passed through the valley of the shadow and entered the haven of eternal rest. Mrs. Baily was a native of Georgia; came with her husband and children to Bradley county, Ark., in 1860. Her husband died in 1866. She leaves six children and several grandchildren and many friends mourn her departure, but we know that our loss is her eternal gain, for she was ready and her prospects bright for heavenly felicity. In early life she was converted and joined the church - first the Baptist Church, but in 1841 she joined the Methodist Church, in which she remained an exemplary member till the day of her death. May her children and grandchildren try to imitate her good example, and ever remember her words of counsel, and may they all meet her in the blissful beyond where parting will be no more. By: R. A.
